Over $8,000 in cash, checks & toy donations came in during this week’s local fundraising efforts for Toys For Tots, following last Friday’s storage unit fire in Norwich that destroyed about $8,000 of toys that were to be distributed for this Christmas. Tioga Downs kicked in $3000 in matching funds yesterday, and the toys were brought from the WCDO Studios to Bainbridge yesterday for distribution, Toys for Tots Coordinator Roger Barnhart stopped by Snips & Snails & commented about the local efforts:

Donations by credit or debit cards are still be accepted at WCDORADIO.com, the annual visit by the Toys For Tots Train will be Saturday at noon in Bainbridge.

Springbrook in Oneonta will hold their Holiday Open House and Community Art Show today, at their new facility at the former Saint Mary’s School on Route 7 in Oneonta’s East End. The Bainbridge Guilford Central School Board of education will hold their next meeting today, in the district conference room at 6:30 PM. The business portion of the meeting will begin at 7:00.
