State Police responded Saturday Night to a 1 vehicle crash on County Highway 1 and Little Dingle Hill Road in the town of Andes. An investigation at the scene determined that 27 year old Ethan Ray Kennedy of Delhi lost control of his vehicle & went off the roadway and struck an embankment causing the vehicle to roll and land on its roof. Kennedy did not survive.

A raccoon tested positive for rabies in the town of Davenport, it’s the 2nd confirmed positive case of rabies in Delaware County this year. 1 dog & 3 people were exposed to the rabid raccoon, the raccoon was sent for testing to the State Department of Health Wadsworth Laboratory. The exposed dog received a booster, the 3 people exposed have begun Rabies Post-Exposure Prophylaxis. Public Health recommends that pet owners take advantage of any of the free rabies clinics for dogs, cats and ferrets in Delaware County. New Yorkers will vote on School Budgets in New York State Tuesday, as well as Board of Education seats, school bus purchases or other ancillary costs associated with education. Sidney Superintendent Eben Bullock told WCDO News about their 35.5 Million Dollar Budget with 0% tax levy increase:

Voting will be at the Sidney High School from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Bainbridge Guilford Superintendent Tim Ryan told WCDO News that they had to deal with a $1 Million dollar gap before sending the proposal to voters:

The BG total budget is 26.9 Million dollars, the Tax Levy Increase is 1.59% Voting will be at the Greenlawn & Guilford Elementary school buildings. In the Unatego School District, Dr. Dave Richards told WCDO about their budget:

State Police arrested 40 year old Michael Sodomora of Richmondville for Reckless Endangerment, following a crash on May 12th. Troopers responded to Lowe’s on State Highway 23 in Oneonta for a report of a vehicle that struck the building. An investigation determined that Sodomora traveled through the Lowe’s parking lot at high rate of speed before striking the entrance of the building, traveling several feet inside and damaging a cash register counter and multiple shelves of merchandise. Sodomora and a 63-year-old female passenger from Pennsylvania were not injured, Sodomora was processed & turned over to the Otsego County Jail for arraignment.

Otsego County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22 year old Jordan Kratochvil of Laurens, for Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Imprisonment, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Assault & menacing following an investigation into a physical domestic dispute with a firearm in Laurens. Deputies determined that Kratochvil struck the female victim multiple times in the head with an 8 month old child present, he unlawfully locked the victims inside their residence, and threatened to use a loaded semi-automatic rifle against them and others, he surrendered himself to Deputies and he was processed and turned over to Otsego County Corrections pending Arraignment

State Police arrested 30 year Patrick Mott of Homer following an investigation into a child sex abuse case. Mott was charged with Rape, Sexual Abuse, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, for allegedly, having inappropriate sexual contact with a child under the age of 11. Mott was processed and was being held for arraignment.
