Norwich Police Department & the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office apprehended 1 of Pennsylvania’s Most wanted absconders. 31 year old Edwin Rodriguez of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania charged with being a Fugitive From Justice, Norwich Police received tips from City residents that Rodriguez had been hiding in Norwich and was planning to flee the area to an undisclosed location on Saturday, Rodriguez was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit, he was wanted in Pennsylvania for Rape by Forcible Compulsion & Assault charges, Rodriguez was arraigned and held without bail, pending extradition back to Pennsylvania.

State Troopers along with local police departments will be ramping up more DWI patrols starting on Friday as part of their annual “STOP-DWI” High visibility engagement campaign. The campaign for Memorial Day weekend will kick off on Friday, & run through Monday, May 27th, Troopers and other local police departments will be looking for impaired drivers, plus speeders, distracted drivers and those with expired registrations or inspections.

The Sidney Central School District will have their budget up for a public vote Tuesday, District Superintendent Eben Bullock told WCDO News about their Proposal:

Voting will be from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Sidney School District office.

The Unatego School District budget is up for a public vote tomorrow, voters will be deciding on the proposed budget, 3 seats on the School Board & 1 Proposition, according to Superintendent Dr. Dave Richards:

Voting will be from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 PM at the Junior/ Senior High School on State Route 7 between Wells Bridge & Otego.

The Bainbridge Chamber of Commerce will hold their last meeting before the General Clinton Canoe regatta, tomorrow at 7:30 am at the back of Bob’s Diner. Chamber members & Directors are encouraged to attend.

School Budget votes will be held across the State Tomorrow. BG Superintendent Tim Ryan told WCDO News about their budget proposal:

District across the state will be voting on budget, School Board seats and in many cases, capital project & School Bus purchases.

45 year old Antwain Greene of Binghamton was found guilty of Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, and 2 counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia, by a jury in Broome County Court. On September 21, 2021, Greene was discovered to have a loaded and operable handgun while in the City of Binghamton. The Broome County Special Investigations Unit discovered the handgun, cocaine, ecstasy, and drug paraphernalia after a executing a search warrant at Greene’s residence located at 100 Roberts Street in the City of Binghamton. Greene is set to return to court for sentencing on August 16, 2024

U.S. Rep. Marc Molinaro announced his constituent service team will hold mobile office hours from 11:00am to 1:00pm Today, at the Bainbridge Town Hall, constituents will be able to connect with representatives from Rep. Molinaro’s office to share comments and resolve issues they are having with federal agencies like the VA, IRS, and Social Security Administration.
