The Coventry Fire Department’s EMS unit is holding classes in the coming weeks, as they try to get more people involved, Spokesman Kyle Button told WCDO News that they have free classes coming up on March 17th for those interested in the basics of life saving techniques:

Button said that there is also a basic course for training to be an EMT, that will be held this Saturday, both session will be held at the Coventry Fire Department on State Route 206, more information is available at coventryems.org or by calling 607-656-4060.

Congressman Marc Molinaro & House Speaker Mike Johnson will meet Thursday at 1:00pm at the Broome County Sheriff’s Office in Binghamton. Speaker Johnson and Congressman Molinaro will meet with Broome County Sheriff’s deputies, law enforcement from neighboring departments, local emergency responders, they will discuss public safety issues and funding for law enforcement.

The case of Ganesh “Remy” Ramsaran will go national this Friday Night on NBC’s Dateline. Ramsaran pleaded guilty last year to a reduced charge of Manslaughter for the 2012 killing of his wife Jennifer Ramsaran. The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43 year old Brian Boore of Oneonta following the investigation into a complaint at the Otsego County Correctional Facility. Boore was charged with 3rd & 4th degree Criminal Mischief, he is accused of intentionally damaging property at the Sheriff’s Office property, he was arrested and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Middlefield Court at a later date.

The investigation is continuing into the death of 38 year old Connie Manwarren of Otselic, who was found deceased on February 10 at the side of a road. State Police are waiting for the results of an autopsy & the investigation is ongoing.

Binghamton Police are investigating after a man was found dead Saturday morning near State Route 363 and Exchange Street. Emergency Crews pronounced the man dead, Police announced that it was 29 year-old Tyler Beschorner of Binghamton who was found dead, anyone with information can call (607) 772-7080.
