State Police investigated a tractor-trailer fire on Interstate 81 in the Town of Lisle at around 8:00 PM Monday.\u00a0 Police found the vehicle engulfed in flames, \u00a0the operator was 56 year old CLARENCE PHELPS of Watertown, who pulled over & unsuccessfully attempted to extinguish the fire.\u00a0 30 horses in the trailer died, the preliminary investigation indicates that the fire started after a passenger side fuel tank malfunctioned.<\/p>\n
