State Police are investigating the shooting of a Walton resident by a Walton Police Officer early this morning.  The early investigation states that a Walton Police Officer was dispatched to a mental health call on Griswold Street early this morning, the deceased failed to put down a weapon, and was shot by the officer, the investigation is continuing by the State Police & the Attorney General\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delaware County Public Health announced that they had 46 new COVID 19 cases on Thursday & Friday, with a 6.5% positivity rate.  8 people are hospitalized, 319 are quarantined & there have been 54 deaths from the pandemic. Only 50, 7% of Delaware County Residents are vaccinated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
