NEWS THURSDAY 4-25-13"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>State Assembly minority Republicans are proposing a constitutional amendment that would allow voters the ability to remove an elected official from office through a direct vote before his or her term has expired, Assemblyman Cliff Crouch explains:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>(Crouch 4-25-13)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The legislation was revived following the continuing string of arrests and indictments of elected officials, 19 other states currently allow recall elections.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>The Broome County Sheriff\u2019s Office arrested 45-year-old Robert Bowers of Fenton following an investigation into a fight in the Town of Fenton.\u00a0 Deputies reported that after the fight was broken up, Bowers returned to his trailer, grabbed a shotgun. &amp; fired one round through his ceiling.\u00a0 Bowers was charged with 1-Count of\u00a0 2<sup>nd<\/sup> degree Reckless Endangerment &amp; 1 Count of Illegal Discharge of a Firearm, he was processed at the Broome County Sheriffs Office and released on two appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Fenton Court at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>State troopers from Sidney\u00a0 arrested\u00a043-year-old <strong>Crezette Harris-Shoulders o<\/strong>f Mansfield, Ohio for Improper Log Book.
