Chenango county sheriff\u2019s department picked up a fugitive from justice in Connecticut last Wednesday.\u00a0 41 year old James Keeney of Sidney was wanted on an active arrest warrant issued in Chenango County Court on charges of 3rd<\/sup> degree Burglary, 3rd<\/sup> degree Grand Larceny & and Petty Larceny.\u00a0 Keeney was arraigned and was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $50,000 cash bail; he will re-appear in Chenango County court at a later date.<\/p>\n

Chenango county sheriffs department arrested 22 year old Neftali Rivera of Norwich on an active arrest warrant issued by the Chenango County Family Court for failure to pay child support.\u00a0 Rivera was also arrested for Petit Larceny following allegedly stealing a back pack from a Town of Norwich residence. Rivera was turned over to the Chenango County Correctional facility to serve 60 days or until a 500 dollar purge amount was satisfied. Rivera is to re-appear in the Town of Norwich court at a later date.<\/p>\n
