Democratic State Senator Malcolm smith was arrested last week for trying to sway new York city republican party leaders for allowing him to run for mayor as a republican. 2 assemblyman were also arrested last week by undercover officers, others who have been arrested in recent years include former senate leaders Joe Bruno & Pedro Espada.<\/p>\n
