{"id":7832,"date":"2020-07-28T15:11:53","date_gmt":"2020-07-28T19:11:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wcdoonline.com\/localnews\/?p=7832"},"modified":"2020-07-28T15:11:53","modified_gmt":"2020-07-28T19:11:53","slug":"wcdo-news-tuesday-7-28-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wcdoonline.com\/localnews\/wcdo-news-tuesday-7-28-20\/","title":{"rendered":"WCDO NEWS TUESDAY 7-28-20"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The State Health Department issued an update on the Kawasaki Disease-like syndrome that has affected children with COVID 19 in the state that killed 3 young people earlier this year.&nbsp; The State Health Department has investigated 240 cases of the syndrome &amp; published a study in the New England Journal of Medicine. 1 of the findings is that the hyper-inflammatory syndrome is associated with cardiac dysfunction&amp; the majority of the patients in the study had no documented underlying conditions.&nbsp; The Research will be continuing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The State Health Department announced that there were 534 new positive coronavirus tests statewide on Monday, bringing the total number up to 412,878.&nbsp; The number of death was up to 25,126 with 8 more deaths reported Monday attributed to the virus.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Governor Cuomo announced today that New York has added 3 more states to the travel advisory; Illinois, Kentucky and Minnesota.&nbsp; Governor Cuomo also added Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico to the advisory, along with 34 states.&nbsp; Anyone traveling to New York from the location mentioned in the advisory must quarantine for 14 days to monitor for coronavirus symptoms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The State Division of Consumer Protection is reminding businesses and consumers about a State law related to telemarketing activity during a declared state of emergency.&nbsp; The law passed last year, makes it unlawful for any telemarketer to make an unsolicited sales call to any person under a declared state of emergency or disaster emergency, the law was amended earlier this year to include pandemics.&nbsp;&nbsp; Any consumer who has received an unsolicited telemarketing call is encouraged to report it at donotcall.gov or by calling 888-382-1222.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chenango County Public Health announced their latest COVID 19 Numbers today, with 194 confirmed cases, 145 Active Quarantines, 0 Hospitalizations, 7 deaths, 168 Recoveries &amp; they have performed 15,157 Tests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brandon Clark appeared in Oneida County Court today &amp; asked the judge to withdraw his guilty plea for the murder of 17-year-old Bianca Devins.&nbsp;&nbsp; Clark will be assigned a new attorney, he had pleaded guilty to killing Devins in Utica during the weekend of the Boilermaker race in 2019 &amp; positing pictures of the deceased teenager on social media, which led to his arrest.&nbsp; Clark claimed in court that his previous attorney coerced him into pleading guilty earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Johnson City Police have identified that person found dead in a pickup truck Friday as 27 year old Omar Terry of Johnson City.&nbsp; Terry was found in a wrecked vehicle near Exit 70 of State Route 17, he had both gunshot &amp; stab wounds, 25 year old Brandon Rose of Endicott has been charged with the murder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Otsego County Planning &amp; Solid Waste Department announces the cancellation of this year\u2019s Household Hazardous Waste Day Collection Event.&nbsp; The event is anticipated to return in the fall of 2021.&nbsp; Individuals with questions can call the department at 547-4225.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A.O.
