90-year-old Betty Clark of Oneonta was hospitalized for suffering burns & smoke inhalation at a fire at 348 Chestnut Street in Oneonta Thursday morning.\u00a0 Clark was taken to Fox Hospital in Oneonta, after she unsuccessfully attempted to rescue her pets.\u00a0 Investigators determined that cardboard boxes were too close to a gas range in the kitchen, they caught fire at around 9:20 Thursday morning, and passing motorists reported the blaze and helped bring Clark to safety.\u00a0 Firefighters from Oneonta, West Oneonta, Otego Franklin, Worcester & Sidney responded.<\/p>\n

The Chenango county sheriffs department arrested 33-year-old Nathan Diamond of the town of Butternuts on an active arrest warrant.\u00a0\u00a0 Diamond was arrested by deputies following his release from the Chenango County Jail on unrelated charges, he was turned over to the Binghamton Police on a warrant for Possession of a Forged instrument and Falsifying Business records.

The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office & State Police arrested a Town of Plymouth man on an active Bench Warrant.\u00a0 33-year-old Todd Jackson was wanted on a Bench Warrant from the Town of Norwich Court for Failure to enroll in Chenango County Family Treatment Court. Jackson was taken into custody without incident and arraigned in the Town of Norwich Court, he was released following enrollment into Family Treatment Court.<\/p>\n
