Local\nCongressman Anthony Brindisi recently met with MLB Officials, imploring them to\nwork with Congress to keep Binghamton a minor league baseball town:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(Brinidisi 2-20-20)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Senator Schumer&#8217;s will meet with Binghamton city officials,\nand the Rumble Ponies owner John Hughes, The Rumble Ponies will still exist in\n2020 with their season starting at home on April 9th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Governor Cuomo is hoping for the 2nd Medicaid Redesign team\nto come up with savings as successful as the first Team did going back to 2011,\nto close about 1\/3 of the state projected budget gap for the next fiscal year,\nCuomo discussed that during his recent Budget Presentation in Albany:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(Cuomo 2-20-20)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Medicaid Redesign Team #2 has had to preliminary\nmeetings last week, they are tasked with coming up with a solution to the out\nof control costs, in time for the start of the next fiscal Year on April 1st.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A statewide education and outreach campaign is underway to\nensure that New Yorkers are aware of the March 1st implementation of the ban on\nsingle-use plastic bags.&nbsp;&nbsp; Good Neighbor\nof the Year awards.&nbsp; Both recipients will\nbe honored at the annual Dinner in April; nominations will be accepted until\nMarch 1st to the Chamber office PO Box 275, Unadilla NY 13849.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The City of Oneonta Announced\nthe 2nd round of awards of the Downtown Improvement fund, so that 4 property\nowners can convert vacant spaces into downtown apartments.&nbsp; Funds will go for projects to improve 177,\n250 &amp; 285 Main Street and the Springbrook properties at 186-212 Main\nStreet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">=========================================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">State Police responded to a crash involving a Susquehanna Valley Central School District school bus on State Highway 11 in the town of Kirkwood.\u00a0 State Police reported that the school bus was stopped, displaying flashing lights and the stop sign extended out, when 56 year old Michael Patchen of Conklin rear-ended the bus.\u00a0 \u00a027 elementary school students were on the bus, along with bus driver 61 year old Mary Reardon they were not injured, Patchen was transported to Wilson Medical Center with Hand injuries, the students on the school bus were evaluated by a school nurse.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CDO Workforce held a Job Fair today at the Sidney American\nLegion.&nbsp;
