Police\nDepartment, for his action last November that saved the life of an infant that\ncould not breathe, Sidney Police Chief Eric Oliver explains:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>(Sidney Police Chief Eric Oliver\n2-13-20)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Officer Parry will also\nbe receiving the American Red Cross Real Heroes award later this year for his\naction in November.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>State Police arrested 19 year old\nLucian Decker of New Berlin for 2 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a\nChild.&nbsp;&nbsp; Troopers were dispatched to a\ndomestic dispute in the town of Pittsfield; Decker is accused of slapping &amp;\nkicking an infant &amp; another victim that didn\u2019t want to press charges.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Decker was arraigned; an order of\nprotection was issued for the victim. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Following the murder of Upstate\nresident, 17-year-old Bianca Devins in Utica, and the dissemination of graphic\nimages, Congressman Anthony Brindisi convened a meeting of members of Congress\nand Social Media representatives from Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google,\nReddit, and Tumblr, regarding the companies content moderation policies.&nbsp; 22 Year old Brandon Clark posted pictures on\nsocial media platforms of Devin&#8217;s deceased body after he killed her in Utica\nlast July.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Governor Cuomo stood with\nenvironmental leaders today to discuss the need to pass the $3 Billion Restore\nMother Nature Bond Act in the State Budget; he first mentioned the proposal in\nthe State of the State address in January:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>(Cuomo 2-13-20)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>If approved by the voters in\nNovember, the Bond Act would fund environmental restoration projects across the\nstate to ensure New York is able to withstand the threat of more intense and\nfrequent storms fueled by climate change.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>State Police arrested 2 juveniles,\nages 14 and 17 for Burglary and Grand Larceny.&nbsp;\nTroopers were dispatched on February 5th to the 14-year-old\u2019s residence\nafter the teen\u2019s family reported that the juvenile had left home some time\novernight, possibly with a 17-year-old who was also reported missing.&nbsp; Troopers discovered that a vehicle was\nmissing from the town of Morris &amp; that the 14 and 17-year-old teens\nallegedly stole it &amp; drove to Lafayette to pick up another minor.&nbsp; The teens were found in Cortland and taken\ninto custody.&nbsp;&nbsp; The 17-year-old was\narraigned and released to Otsego County DSS.&nbsp;\nThe 14-year-old was issued a family court appearance ticket. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Delaware County Sheriff&#8217;s\nDepartment has called a press conference for tomorrow morning in Sidney,\nregarding the recent seizure of 20 dogs from a town of Franklin Property, the\ndogs were used for illegal dog fighting, and more details will be released\nFriday.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>State Police announced that 23 year\nold Christian Wilson of Endicott was arrested twice, on February 4th in\nCortland County &amp; February 11th in Tioga County.&nbsp;&nbsp; State Police arrested Wilson on the 4th for\nCriminal Possession of Stolen Property &amp; Criminal Mischief after an\ninvestigation of a man wearing only black plastic garbage bags entered a home\n&amp; left the area, he also allegedly wrecked a car nearby that was reported\nstolen from Broome County.&nbsp; On February\n11th State Police arrested Wilson for Criminal Trespass for being at a property\nin the town of Nichols where he did not belong. Wilson was released on an\nappearance tickets both times.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Local State Senator Jen Metzger\nannounced yesterday that fellow Senate Majority Democrats are working to give\njudges the ability to set bail on a number of charges, following multiple\nproblems around the state, after the passage of a controversial package of Bail\nreforms.&nbsp; There have been several\ninstances of someone being released on an appearance ticket for a serious\ncrime, and immediately committing another crime.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Delaware County Sheriff\u2019s Deputies\narrested 40 year old Mohamed Mursal of Minneapolis, Minnesota with one count of\nAggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, as well as traffic\nviolations for operating a motor vehicle with inadequate head lights and\noperating a motor vehicle in excess of the allowed gross vehicle weight. The\narrest occurred as a result of an investigation into disabled Commercial\nVehicle on Rathbun Hill Road in the Town of Davenport. Mursal was arraigned at\nthe Town of Kortright court and was released on his own recognizance.&nbsp; Mursal is scheduled to appear before the Town\nof Davenport Court at a later date to answer the charges. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Delaware County Sheriff\u2019s Deputies\narrested 42 year old Daniel Berry of Woodbourne for Aggravated Unlicensed\nOperation of a Motor Vehicle, as well Operating a motor vehicle without a\nrequired Ignition Interlock Device, Unlicensed Operator, and Inadequate\nheadlights following a traffic stop on State Highway 28 in the Town of\nMiddletown.
