Troopers were dispatched to\nWalmart and Office Max for 3 suspicious males, after Employees from Walmart\ntold troopers that 3 men vandalized their Arts &amp; Crafts area &amp; then\nattempted to enter Office Max.&nbsp; On\nJanuary 11th, State Police arrested 19 year old Devin Castillo of Walton\nfollowing a rollover accident in Sidney Center which also involved several\nparked cars.&nbsp; An investigation revealed\nthat Castillo was arrested For DWI, he was implicated in the Walmart case,\npolice arrested Castillo, 21 year old Jamie Sophie of Unadilla, &amp; 21 year\nold Nathaniel Rubera of Unadilla, all 3 were released on appearance tickets for\nOneonta Court at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Members of the Broome County Sheriff\u2019s Warrant Division\nreceived a tip on the location of 31 year old Robert Kinzer, who had a warrant\nfor his arrest.&nbsp; Kinzer was involved in a\ndomestic incident in the Village of Deposit on January 1st, he fled the scene\nbefore law enforcement arrived; Kinzer was charged with numerous felonies\nincluding 1st degree burglary, 1st degree Robbery, Criminal Possession of a\nWeapon, &amp; Grand Larceny.&nbsp; Kinzer was\napprehended by Deputies when he visited his parole officer, he was taken to the\nBroome County Central Arraignment, and he was released on his own recognizance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Village of Delhi Police Department arrested 25-year-old\nCheyenne Strong of Sidney for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Criminal\nContempt and Harassment.&nbsp; Strong was\narraigned in the Delhi Town Court where she was released on her own\nrecognizance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">31 year old Christopher Bono of Norwich was indicted in\nChenango County Court on charges of 1st degree Burglary &amp; Robbery.&nbsp; Bono is accused of robbing someone at\nknifepoint on January 9th, and leading police in a car chase.&nbsp;&nbsp; Bono was ordered held on $100,000 cash bail\nand remanded to the Chenango County jail pending additional court action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The New York State Sheriff\u2019s Association&#8217;s members once\nagain voted to oppose legislative efforts to legalize the sale and possession\nof recreational marijuana in New York State, Delaware County Sheriff Craig\nDumond comments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(Sheriff Craig Dumond 2-4-20)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the 2nd year in a row that the Sheriff&#8217;s Association\nvoted against legalizing marijuana, as Statistics in states where Marijuana was\nlegalized,&nbsp; showed a significant increase\nin marijuana-related traffic fatalities, an increase in aggressive violent\nbehavior associated with marijuana users &amp; an increase in the sale on the\nblack market for marijuana. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Congressman Anthony Brindisi\nannounced the FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program is now taking\napplications from local fire departments, through March 13th.&nbsp; Grant Money can be used for training,\nequipment, vehicles, and other necessities for local fire departments.&nbsp; Last year, Congressman Brindisi secured more\nthan $2 million in Grant money for Fire departments, more information is\navailable at 315-732-0713<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3 players and a labor leader who changed baseball&#8217;s economic\nmodel will receive the National Pastime\u2019s highest honor in Cooperstown during\nHall of Fame Weekend on July 24-27th.&nbsp;\nThe National Baseball Hall of Fame\u2019s 2020 Induction Ceremony will\nfeature Baseball Writers\u2019 Association of America electees Derek Jeter and Larry\nWalker along with Modern Baseball Era electees Union Leader Marvin Miller and\nTed Simmons.
