Marine Joe\nAngelino of Norwich announced his candidacy for the 122nd Assembly District,\nfollowing Assemblyman Cliff Crouch&#8217;s announcement that he will not seek\nre-election this November, Crouch endorsed Angelino&#8217;s candidacy, Angelino\ntalked to WCDO News about his decision to run:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(Joe Angelino 1-28-20)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Angelino &amp; Nick Libous both announced their intentions\nyesterday to seek the Republican Party Nomination for the 122nd Assembly\nDistrict race; so far no Democrats have announced a run for the seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">State Senator Fred Akshar held a press conference at the\nBroome County Sheriff\u2019s Department yesterday, vowing to fight to overturn or\nfix some of the portions of the Bail Reform law that just went into effect that\nis sending some violent criminals back out onto the streets:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(Akshar 1-28-20)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Akshar said that numerous cases\nhave occurred already where someone has been released on an appearance ticket,\nand almost immediately committed a crime that they would not have been able to\ncommit if they had been remanded to jail like they would have last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The opening of the 2020 personal income tax filing season\nhas begun, with a dozen free tax filing assistance sites across New York State.\nTaxpayers who earned $69,000 or less in 2019 are eligible to file both their\nfederal and New York State income tax returns at these locations at no cost.\nEligible taxpayers may also prepare and file their returns for free by using\ntax preparation software available through the State Tax Department&#8217;s\nwebsite.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Deputies allege that Warfield did knowingly\nact in a manner injurious to the physical, mental, or moral welfare of a child\nless than seventeen years of age.
