The Raymond Corporation and Sidney Central School District\nwas honored by the New York State School Boards Association for their\ncollaboration on the Raymond Welding Production Center, which opened in\n2019.  Sidney Superintendent Eben Bullock\ncomments:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 7 Sidney students created a fabricated welded \u201cPresent\u201d\nto accompany the Raymond annual holiday tree display at the Roberson Museum and\nin Binghamton, The holiday display has been returned & will remain at the\nSidney Central School District.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nShell of the new Bainbridge Community Center on Prospect Street is up & the\nwork is continuing, Bainbridge Chamber of Commerce President John Payne\nexplains:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delaware\nValley Humane Society not only had a major success with their fundraising drive\nin conjunction with Staffworks, but they also gained attention with housing\n“Miles” the pig for a few weeks, Shelter Director Erin Insinga\nexplains:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Governor Cuomo today announced 61 New York State businesses, community colleges and community-based organizations will receive $3.4 million as part of the state’s Workforce Development Initiative.\u00a0 Grant funds are provided by the Department of Labor, NYSERDA and The State University of New York.\u00a0 Among the businesses participating in the Southern Tier are BAE Systems & Dick’s Sporting Goods Distribution Center.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chenango\nCounty Sheriff\u2019s Department responded early Wednesday morning to a 3 vehicle\ncrash on State Route 12 in Oxford. \nDeputies reported A Tractor Trailer operated by Jereme Lehmer of Oxford\nattempted to make a turn on a side road, A 2012 Ford operated by Kathryn Frear\nof Greene was following the tractor trailer & began to slow for the turning\ntractor trailer, she was rear-ended by a box truck operated by Kenneth Price of\nBuffalo, which forced the Frear vehicle into the back of the Lehmer tractor\ntrailer. Frear was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident is still under\ninvestigation and more information will be released at a later date.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
