{"id":7415,"date":"2019-12-26T14:32:00","date_gmt":"2019-12-26T19:32:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wcdoonline.com\/localnews\/?p=7415"},"modified":"2019-12-26T14:33:41","modified_gmt":"2019-12-26T19:33:41","slug":"wcdo-news-thursday-12-26-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wcdoonline.com\/localnews\/wcdo-news-thursday-12-26-19\/","title":{"rendered":"WCDO NEWS THURSDAY 12-26-19"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>State Police responded last night to a fatal crash\ninvolving a car and a tractor trailer on State Route 8 and County Road 35 in\nthe town of Guilford.&nbsp;&nbsp; The passenger of\nthe vehicle, 73 year old William Brett of Kenoza Lake, was killed during the crash\nand the driver, 78 year old Patricia House of Kenoza Lake was transported by\nambulance to Wilson Medical Center and is in serious condition.&nbsp; The unidentified driver of the tractor\ntrailer was not injured.&nbsp; The\ninvestigation revealed that the tractor trailer was northbound on State Highway\n8 when the House vehicle, traveling on Chenango County Route 35, went through\nthe Stop Sign, through the intersection and wound up underneath the trailer\nportion of the tractor trailer.&nbsp; The\ninvestigation is continuing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The State Department of Labor released preliminary\nlocal area unemployment rates for November.&nbsp;\nThe State\u2019s unemployment rate remained unchanged at 4.0% in November,\nLocally; Chenango County had 3.9% unemployment, Delaware county 4.1% &amp;\nOtsego County 3.7% in November.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Otsego County Sheriff&#8217;s Department arrested 33 year\nold Aaron Willey of Oneonta for 2 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled\nSubstance. Wiley was arrested on December 23rd, after the issuance of a sealed\nindictment from Otsego County Court.
