State Police arrested 59-year-old Carl Pritchard of Exeter\nfor overdriving, torturing and injuring animals; failure to provide proper\nsustenance and failure to provide appropriate shelter for dogs left\noutside. K. Pritchard was arrested after\nTroopers responded to a complaint from a UPS driver who observed a dog whose\nleft leg appeared to be missing, The Susquehanna SPCA responded and a\nveterinarian was contacted, who believed that Zoe had chewed off her own leg\nafter they observed bone fragments in her stomach, she also had previous\nuntreated injuries and scarred ear tips. \nZoe was transported to Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine\nfor further care. Pritchard surrender\nZoe due to his inability to pay for any vet bills, he is due to appear in the\ntown of Exeter court on December 4th. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 unidentified people were arrested Monday night at\nBinghamton University, following protests of republican Economist Arthur\nLaffer, who was scheduled to give a speech on campus after being invited to\nspeak by College Republicans. Laffer was\nnot able to deliver his speech; the protest came 2 days after an outside\nprotest on the campus following a separate event, also by College\nRepublicans. State Senator Fred Akshar\nannounced that he has cancelled his planned visit tonight to Binghamton\nUniversity\u2019s campus; he extended an invitation to the leaders of the Binghamton\nUniversity College Progressives, College Democrats and the College Republicans\nto meet to discuss the incidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

State Police arrested 2 Pennsylvania residents following a\ndrug bust in Chenango County that seized thousands of dollars\u2019 worth of\ndrugs. 28 year old Jordan Melendez and\n24 year old Kimberly Rivas were arrested Thursday following the execution of\nsearch warrants at multiple locations in Chenango County. Police seized 1.5 pounds of Crystal Meth,\npure Fentanyl, 20 pounds of marihuana, 4 handguns, 16 illegally possessed long\nguns Scales, Packaging materials & $3,350.00 in cash. Melendez & Rivas\nwere charged with Criminal possession of a controlled substance & were\narraigned in the Town of Norwich Court and remanded to Chenango County Jail\nwith no bail. Sunday night, the Deposit Fire Department and Eastern Broome\nEmergency Services were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident where the\nvehicle involved had gone into a creek in the Town of Sanford. The sole\noccupant of the vehicle was able to get out of the vehicle and water prior to\nour arrival.
