The Otsego County Sheriff’s\ndepartment announced that Roxanne Shipman-Hull was found dead in the town of\nPlainfield along with her dog. \nShipman-Hull was reported missing October 1st, her body was found\nSunday, along with her deceased dog.  An\nAutopsy is scheduled to be performed at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, and\nthis investigation is ongoing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Otsego County Solid Waste\nDepartment announced that County residents now have an opportunity to compost\nhousehold food waste at the Oneonta transfer station at 75 Silas Lane.   The average household disposed of 29 pounds\nof garbage per week.  More information is\navailable by calling the Otsego County Solid Waste Department is available at\n547-4256, or at their Facebook page or otsegocounty.com\/departments\/solid\nwaste.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Halos Help After\nLoss” had their closing Friday & they have purchased the former Afton\nGreat American Building, Joyce Humphrey of Halos or \u201cHelp After Loss\u201d told WCDO\nNews that the plans for the floorplan have changed a little:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Norwich City\nPolice are investigating the theft of 2 vehicles this weekend from the Hayes\nStreet Parking Lot & West Main Street. \nPolice said that both vehicles were unlocked, they remind city residents\nto always lock up unattended vehicles, and never leave valuables in plain sight\nin a vehicle.  so far, the vehicles have\nnot been recovered & no arrests have been announced.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The body of a missing Cornell\nUniversity student was recovered by Ithaca Falls Saturday Night.  18 year old Antonio Tsialas\u2019s death is under\ninvestigation but foul play is not suspected, State Police are assisting Cornell\nUniversity Police, Tsialas had not been seen or heard from since Thursday\nevening after leaving an event, he failed to meet a family member Friday\nafternoon, the investigation is continuing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Guilford Town Board has\ncalled a special meeting for tonight at 6:30 PM at the Guilford Town Hall on\nMarble Road.  The Guest Speaker will be\nDr. Phil Hofmeyer, who will be discussing Renewable Energy.  The meeting is open to the public.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Unatego Board of Education has a special meeting tonight at 6:30 as they consider 3 new proposals for the repurposing of the former Otego Elementary School building.\u00a0\u00a0 Representatives from the 3 developers will present their plans for the building; the Board will make a decision at their regular Board meeting November 4.\u00a0 The 3 proposals are from Dirig Design of Wells Bridge, Granite Data Solutions of California & the Oneonta Christian Academy, more information is available at unatego.org or may be viewed in person at the Unatego District Office.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
