While being\ntaken into custody, Green physically resisted and was charged with Resisting\nArrest.&nbsp; Howe was taken into custody on\nan active Probation Warrant. Green, Gumaer and Howe are currently in the\ncustody of the Broome County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bainbridge Chamber of Commerce announced that they will\nhold their annual Commitment to Community Dinner Saturday at 6:00 PM at the\nSundown Golf &amp; Country Club in Guilford.&nbsp;\nThe CITIZEN OF THE YEAR award will go to&nbsp;&nbsp; MATTHEW GERMOND, the BUSINESS OF THE YEAR\naward goes to GALAXY BOWL &amp; the SERVICE ORGANIZATION RECOGNITION award goes\nto the JERICHO GARDEN CLUB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Otsego County Sheriff\u2019s Office and State Police\nresponded Thursday to I-88 in Worcester, following a report of 2 tractor\ntrailers off the roadway with one in a creek. It took 5 hours to remove the\ntrucks; the crash is still under investigation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Friday, Members of the Broome County Special\nInvestigations Unit Task Force executed a narcotics search warrant at 132 Main\nSt in the City of Binghamton. Investigators recovered: approximately an ounce\nof Crystal Methamphetamine, drug packaging materials and approximately $5,000\nin suspected drug sale proceeds.&nbsp;&nbsp;\nInvestigators charged Timothy Bell and Stephanie Starks on numerous drug\ncharges, they were held at the Binghamton Police Department awaiting\narraignment in Binghamton City Court. Starks is additionally being held on a\nPetit Larceny Warrant out of the Village of Johnson City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The State Health Department reports that people should be\ngetting their flu shots soon, as we are entering the start of the traditional\nflu season.&nbsp; There have been 187 flu\ncases reported statewide, 100 of them last week, there were no cases reported\nin the tri-county region, and 1 in Broome County so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Homer Fire Department reported that one of their firefighters\ndied following a department training session Saturday.&nbsp; Fire Fighter Robert Bush reported feeling ill\nat a training session, fellow fire department members initiated emergency\nmedical assistance, and he was brought him to a local hospital where he was\npronounced dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Congressman Anthony Brindisi is\nhosting a Veterans Resource Fair on November 5th at the SUNY Broome Community\nCollege West Gymnasium from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, to connect Southern Tier\nVeterans with resources and services, with more than a dozen organizations in\nattendance including Clear Path for Veterans, the Southern Tier Veterans\nSupport Group, representatives from the VA, and more.&nbsp; Veterans with questions can contact\nCongressman Brindisi\u2019s Binghamton office at 607-242-0200.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chenango County Sheriff\u2019s Deputies responded early Saturday\nmorning to the call of 1-car motor vehicle accident involving a bicyclist on\nState Route 80 in the Town of Columbus.&nbsp;\n49 year old Allen Emrich of New Berlin struck the bicyclist, 30 year old\nMartin Logsdon Jr, he was&nbsp; pronounced\ndeceased at the scene.&nbsp; Emrich was\noperating the vehicle with a blood alcohol content of more than .08% &amp; with\na child in the vehicle he was charged with Vehicular Manslaughter, Aggravated\nDWI with a child in the car, Endangering the Welfare of a Child among other\ncharges, he was arraigned in the Town of Columbus Court &amp; was remanded to\nthe Chenango County Correctional facility on $2500.00 cash bail.
