Today is the last day to register for the Delaware County\nClean Sweep event. Schoharie County District Attorney Susan Mallery contends\nthat the questionable business practices of Mavis Discount Tire in Saratoga\nSprings auto shop had no role in an October 6th 2018 limousine crash that\nkilled 20 people in Schoharie. Mallery\nsaid that the attorneys for the limousine company’s operator, Nauman Hussain,\nhad wrongly cast blame on Mavis, where workers had allegedly Billed Hussain for\nbrake work on the 2001 Ford Excursion that was not performed, several months\nbefore the deadly accident. Hussain has\nbeen charged with 20 counts of manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide\nby a Schoharie County Grand Jury<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 4 candidates for the Norwich\nCity Mayor’s Office will meet for a public debate Wednesday at 6:00 PM at the\nNorwich YMCA at 6:00 PM. The candidates\nare incumbent Christine Carnrike, Shawn Sastri, Jill Osterhout-Kraft, and\nformer mayor Joseph Maiurano. Following\nthe debate, the candidates will participate in a Meet & Greet with voters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
NYSEG is working to restore power to customers impacted by\nthe nor\u2019easter that has brought high winds and heavy rain to much of their\nservice area. More than 37,000 customers\nhave been impacted as a result of the weather. Currently, less than 5,000\ncustomers are without power, many of those are in Chenango & Broome\nCounties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
