{"id":7267,"date":"2019-10-10T14:48:11","date_gmt":"2019-10-10T18:48:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wcdoonline.com\/localnews\/?p=7267"},"modified":"2019-10-10T14:48:24","modified_gmt":"2019-10-10T18:48:24","slug":"wcdo-news-thursday-10-10-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wcdoonline.com\/localnews\/wcdo-news-thursday-10-10-19\/","title":{"rendered":"WCDO NEWS THURSDAY 10-10-19"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Unatego Board of Education received 3 proposals after\ntheir recent Request for Proposals to repurpose the former Otego Elementary\nSchool building, Unatego Superintendent Dr. Dave Richards\u2019s comments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(Dave Richards 10-10-19)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 3 proposals are from Dirig Design, a drafting and design\nfirm located in Wells Bridge, Granite Data Solutions of California which is an\nIT service provider &amp; the Oneonta Christian Academy, who wish to move their\nprivate school from Oneonta to Otego.&nbsp; More\ninformation is available at unatego.org.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another development in the October 6th 2018 Schoharie\nLimousine crash has come out, where a former repair shop manager told\ninvestigators that brake work was billed but not performed on the stretch\nlimousine that crashed &amp; killed 20 people.&nbsp;\nThe former manager of a Mavis Discount Tire shop told investigators that\na brake system master cylinder was invoiced but not installed at the time of a\nMay 2018 inspection on the 2001 Ford Excursion limo, the vehicle did not stop\n&amp; blew through an intersection and crashed into a convenience store parking\nlot, killing all 18 on board &amp; killing 2 people in the parking lot.&nbsp;&nbsp; Limo company operator Nauman Hussain is\nfacing numerous felony counts in connection with the crash; He is expected in\ncourt in January. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers released the new East\nSidney Lake Master Plan to serve as a guiding document for decision making at\nthe lake for the next 15 to 25 years.&nbsp;\nThe Plan includes land use classifications that govern the way land is\nmanaged and used as well as outdoor recreation to meet the needs of the\npublic.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The final Master Plan, previous\nmaster plans and additional information can be found on the project website\nnab.usace.army.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A ST.
