32 year old\nChellie Warner of Sidney Center was wanted on a Bench Warrant issued by the Delaware\nCounty Court for failure to appear for a scheduled conference and sentencing\nfollowing her guilty plea for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance.&nbsp; Warner was originally arrested by Delaware\nCounty Sheriff\u2019s Office in December 2017, on a Grand Jury Sealed Indictment\nWarrant for various drug charges for selling Fentanyl laced Heroin.&nbsp; Warner was returned to Delaware County\nWednesday she was remanded to the Delaware County jail without bail. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Changes in the length of the statute of limitations recently\npassed in the New York Child Victim\u2019s Act, have led to hundreds of lawsuits\nbeing filed against members of the clergy &amp; educators who have been accused\nor convicted of rape or sexual abuse.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\nFormer Afton Principal David Curtis now faces a lawsuit after he pleaded\nguilty for sexually abusing a teenage student over 30 years ago; his accuser\nhas brought a lawsuit against him and the Afton school district.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Curtis pleaded guilty to Endangering the\nWelfare of a child by Sexual Contact, under the terms of a plea bargain\narrangement in 1991.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">State Senator Jim Seward will be in Oneonta tomorrow for a\nJustice for Gillian Gibbons rally at Muller Plaza in downtown Oneonta.&nbsp;&nbsp; Senator Seward opposes the potential release\nof David Dart, who fatally stabbed Gibbons in the Oneonta Municipal Parking\nGarage in 1989.&nbsp; Other expected to participate\ninclude former Oneonta City Police Chief Joseph Redmond, and Gillian\u2019s sister\nJennifer Kirkpatrick.&nbsp; Likens\nadmitted that he knowingly received and distributed child pornography over the\ninternet using peer-to-peer file sharing software. An undercover law\nenforcement officer downloaded 87 child pornography video files from Likens\u2019\ncomputer that he shared with others.&nbsp; A\nsubsequent search of Likens\u2019 house revealed that he possessed on various\ndevices, 31 video files and 24 images of child pornography.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Broome County Sheriff&#8217;s Department is looking for a\nperson who crashed a vehicle into a home at 11 Old State Road in Port Dickinson\nlate last night.&nbsp; The car was left at the\nscene, the driver left the scene, the investigation is continuing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Governor Cuomo announced he has received and reviewed a\nrecommendation from New York State Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker to\ninclude menthol in the ban on the sale of flavored electronic cigarettes and\nnicotine e-liquids. He has accepted these recommendations and directed the\nCommissioner to convene an emergency meeting of the Public Health and Health\nPlanning Council as soon as possible to expand emergency regulations to include\nmenthol flavors in the ban.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Congressman Anthony Brindisi fought to protect the\nBainbridge VA clinic in Chenango County at a House Veterans\u2019 Affairs Health\nSubcommittee hearing Wednesday, and confirmed with Dr. Richard Stone of the Veterans\u2019\nHealth Administration that the clinic will not close in December 2019, as was\npreviously proposed.
