{"id":7194,"date":"2019-09-03T14:59:50","date_gmt":"2019-09-03T18:59:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wcdoonline.com\/localnews\/?p=7194"},"modified":"2019-09-03T15:00:40","modified_gmt":"2019-09-03T19:00:40","slug":"wcdo-news-tuesday-9-3-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wcdoonline.com\/localnews\/wcdo-news-tuesday-9-3-19\/","title":{"rendered":"WCDO NEWS TUESDAY 9-3-19"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Delaware County Board of Supervisors acted on a measure\nlast week regarding the Muddy River Brewing Company in the town of Sidney.&nbsp; Sidney Town Supervisor Gene Pigford said that\nthe town zoning also has to change in order for Muddy River to continue:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(Gene Pigford 9-3-19)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pigford said that a Final Text Revision will lead to a\nroundtable discussion by the Sidney Town Planning Board &amp; the Zoning Board\nof Appeals, then the measure goes back to the County Board, a public hearing\nwill be necessary, then a final vote, Pigford said that he hopes to have all\nthat concluded by the end of this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An unknown number of SFCU members in the Walton area have\nbeen affected by an ATM skimming attack.&nbsp;\nSFCU Vice President of Marketing Keith May told WCDO News how they are\ntackling the situation this afternoon:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(Keith May 9-3-19)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">May said that the Walton branch opened Sunday to assist with\nmembers concerns, he stressed that this was NOT a breach, but is an isolated\nATM skimming attack in the Walton area, and that law enforcement is\ninvestigating. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A woman reported missing from Smyrna, has been located in\nIowa.&nbsp; Amber Garrison told Police that\nshe was kidnapped at a truck stop in Pennsylvania in July, and was taken\nthrough several states.&nbsp; James Smith of\nMexico New York has been charged with kidnapping, assault &amp; obstruction of\nemergency communication, Garrison was treated for injuries at an Iowa hospital,\nthe investigation is continuing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tioga County Sheriff&#8217;s Department responded Friday at about\n12:15 PM, to a report of an armed robbery at Community Bank in Nichols. A male\nsubject entered the Bank and displayed a pistol while demanding money, the\nSheriff\u2019s Office has arrested 31 year old Adam Robinson of Nichols, for 1st\ndegree Robbery, Criminal use of a firearm and 4th degree Grand Larceny.&nbsp; Robinson was arraigned and was remanded to\nthe Tioga County Jail on $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond pending court\naction Wednesday.&nbsp; The investigation is\nongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Oneonta School District&#8217;s 1st day of classes has been\npostponed until next Monday September 9th.&nbsp;\nThe delay was due to ongoing construction, more details are available at\noneontacsd.org.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Governor Cuomo\nannounced that the Great New York State Fair has broken the total attendance\nrecord for the 4th year in a row while setting several single-day attendance\nrecords during its 13-day run.
