{"id":7174,"date":"2019-08-23T15:00:45","date_gmt":"2019-08-23T19:00:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wcdoonline.com\/localnews\/?p=7174"},"modified":"2019-08-23T15:00:45","modified_gmt":"2019-08-23T19:00:45","slug":"wcdo-news-friday-8-23-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wcdoonline.com\/localnews\/wcdo-news-friday-8-23-19\/","title":{"rendered":"WCDO NEWS FRIDAY 8-23-19"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">State Police at Troop C in Sidney announced that a 5-year-old and her dog, who were reported missing in the town of Franklin, were located safe &amp; sound this afternoon at about 1:15 PM.\u00a0 State Police Aviation was able to spot Destiny &amp; her dog in a tall grassy area and direct troopers and emergency personnel to her location.\u00a0 Police and several other agencies were dispatched this morning to the area of Grange Hall Road and State Route 28 in the town of Franklin.\u00a0 State Police said that Destiny and her puppy were located several hundred yards from the area where they were reported missing.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Delaware County Sheriff&#8217;s Deputies and members of the Delhi\nFire Department and Emergency Squad responded to a 911 report of a serious\npersonal injury motorcycle accident on State Highway 10, near Betts Hill Road,\nin the Town of Delhi.&nbsp; The Investigation\nrevealed that 46 year-old Daniel Quackenbush of Delhi was traveling south on\nState Highway 10 when he lost control of his motorcycle which ran off the\nsouthbound road shoulder before striking an embankment and rolling over in the\nditch,&nbsp; ejecting Quackenbush,&nbsp; who sustained serious injuries.&nbsp; Quackenbush was taken to O\u2019Connor Hospital in\nDelhi where he later succumbed to his injuries.&nbsp;\nDeputies believe alcohol use contributed to the cause of the accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">New York&#8217;s &#8220;Red Flag&#8221; bill goes into effect tomorrow.&nbsp; The bill allows for Law enforcement, district\nattorneys, school officials and family members to request a confiscation of\nfirearms from an individual who has been deemed a threat to themselves or\nothers.&nbsp; The bill would also prohibit\npeople who are at high risk of using a firearm to hurt themselves or others to\npurchase weapons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chenango Arts Council announced their 2019-2020 line-up of\nshows coming to the Martin W.
