This event is free and open to all members\nof the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On July 28th, 2019 a Town of Earlville resident was arrested\nby the Chenango County Sheriff\u2019s Office for Driving While Intoxicated.&nbsp; Deputies arrested 27 year old Cody Williams,\nafter an investigation into a property damage motor vehicle accident on South\nStreet in the Village of Smyrna.&nbsp; Williams\nwas issued tickets and is to appear in Smyrna Village Court on August\n15th.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">===============================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On July 29th, 2019 a City of\nNorwich resident was arrested by the Chenango County Sheriff\u2019s Office for\nCriminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.&nbsp;\n23 year old Richard Gaffney was arrested after a Traffic Stop on State\nHighway 12; he was arraigned in the Town of North Norwich court and was\nremanded to Chenango County Corrections in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000\nbond. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hancock Fire Department and the Delaware County Sheriff\u2019s\nOffice were dispatched to a reported tractor-trailer fire on State Highway 17\nnear Hancock.&nbsp; The Trailer contained\nrecycled plastic pallets; it sustained severe fire and heat damage.&nbsp; Route 17 Westbound was shut down for about 1\nhour while crews were extinguishing the fire.&nbsp;\nThe fire was deemed under control within a short period of time.
