Delhi Village Police arrested 49-year-old Steven Witte of\nArkville for Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, Attempted Assault,\nUnlawfully Fleeing a Police Officer and numerous traffic infractions. Witte is\naccused of striking a police officer with his vehicle while fleeing the scene\nof a motor vehicle accident at the McDonald\u2019s drive through on Main Street.\nWitte was arranged at the Delhi Town Court where he was remanded to the\nDelaware County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail \/ $200,000 secured bond. The\nofficer struck by the fleeing vehicle was not injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Governor Cuomo signed legislation allowing victims of sexual\noffenses, stalking and human trafficking to participate in the Department of\nState’s Address Confidentiality Program. Victims will be able to keep their\naddress hidden from their perpetrators by using a substitute address provided\nby the Department of State. Under the\nprevious law, only victims of domestic violence were eligible to participate in\nthe Address Confidentiality Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
