Corey Weidman of Norwich pleaded guilty this week in federal\ncourt on a variety of drug charges stemming from his arrest in Norwich in\nDecember of last year. The Chenango\nCounty Sheriff\u2019s Office raided Weidman\u2019s apartment after a 2-month\ninvestigation, officers seized Crystal Meth, Cocaine, marijuana, LSD, suboxone,\na loaded handgun and more than $35,000 in cash. Weidman will be sentenced on\nNovember 25th. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

State Police have reported that a 17-year-old male has been\narrested in connection with a homicide in the town of Cobleskill. Police responded to a residence at 435 Lamont\nDistrict Road in Cobleskill and found the 50-year-old unidentified male victim\nwith a fatal gunshot wound to the back of the head. A 17-year-old has been remanded to the\nSchoharie County Jail and is currently charged with Assault, Criminal Use of a\nFirearm, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Additional charges may be\npending. The incident remains under investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The State Public Service Commission approved an agreement\nwith Charter Communications\/ Spectrum, to resolve disputes over the\nCommission\u2019s network expansion condition that was contained in the Commission\u2019s\napproval of the company\u2019s merger with Time Warner Cable in 2016. Under the terms of the agreement, Charter\nwill expand its network to provide high-speed broadband service to 145,000\nresidences and businesses entirely in Upstate New York and will pay an\nadditional $12 million to expand broadband service to additional premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
