State Police arrested 20 year old Bradley Dixon Jr., of\nMadison for DWI & Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, after Troopers observed\nDixon’s vehicle partially off the roadway on County Route 36 in the town of\nGuilford, Dixon was sleeping in the driver\u2019s seat, with the car running. Dixon was issued appearance tickets to the\ntown of Guilford court on Tuesday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The A.O. Fox Hospital Foundation hosted its 20th Annual Golf\nClassic at the Oneonta Country Club on June 24, bringing 27 donors and 140\ngolfers to raise funds for a new ultrasound machine in Fox\u2019s department of\nsurgical services; they raised more than $50,000 this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

State Police arrested 30 year\nold Amber Snell of Bainbridge for Aggravated DWI with Child Less than 15 as\nPassenger plus 4 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child & several\nother violations. Snell was observed by\na Trooper on County Route 32 in the town of Oxford driving with 4 unrestrained\nchildren in the back seat, she was arrested, & the children were turned\nover to a sober 3rd party. Snell was\narraigned in the town of Oxford court & was released on her own\nrecognizance and will reappear on July 8th. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
State Police responded to the Depot Street fishing access at\nthe fork of the Chenango and Tioughnioga Rivers Thursday evening, following the\nreport stated that 3 kayakers were in distress, 2 kayakers were able to get out\nof the river on their own but one kayaker was unconscious after his kayak\noverturned. The kayaker has been\nidentified as 72 year old Dennis Healey of Chenango Forks, CPR was attempted,\nbut Healey was pronounced dead. The\ninvestigation revealed that Healey was kayaking with a group of people, Healey\ncapsized and became entangled in debris, and an autopsy revealed that Healey\nlikely suffered a cardiac medical emergency. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

State Police and local law enforcement agencies will\nincrease patrols to crack down on drunk and drugged driving and other traffic\ninfractions during the 4th of July holiday, through Friday, July 5th. State Troopers will conduct sobriety\ncheckpoints and target reckless and aggressive driving statewide in an effort\nto keep New York highways safe during one of the busiest summer holidays for\ntravel. Last year, the State Police\nissued nearly 10,500 vehicle and traffic tickets during the 4th of July\nweekend. Troopers arrested 216 people for DWI and investigated 165 crashes,\nwhich resulted in four fatalities and 244 injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chenango Sheriff\u2019s department arrested 50 year old Randolph\nBrowning of Virginia for Criminal Sexual Act, Possessing a Sexual Performance\nby a Child, Possessing an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child, and\nEndangering the Welfare of a Child. \nDetectives arrested Browning Jr. following a complaint of an older man\nlooking for a room at a local Motel to bring a female victim under the age of\n16. Detectives found that Browning had sexual contact with a child less than 16\nyears old and also possessed child pornography. \nBrowning is currently being held at the Chenango County Correctional\nFacility on other charges and is awaiting his court date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
