{"id":7037,"date":"2019-06-13T15:18:04","date_gmt":"2019-06-13T19:18:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wcdoonline.com\/localnews\/?p=7037"},"modified":"2019-06-13T15:18:04","modified_gmt":"2019-06-13T19:18:04","slug":"wcdo-news-thursday-6-13-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wcdoonline.com\/localnews\/wcdo-news-thursday-6-13-19\/","title":{"rendered":"WCDO NEWS THURSDAY 6-13-19"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sidney Village Police arrested 3 people following an\ninvestigation into arson on Cartwright Avenue Tuesday.&nbsp; Sidney Police said that the fire was set in a\ndoorway &amp; was quickly extinguished by occupants before it could\nspread.&nbsp; 24 year old Elizabeth Hall of\nSidney, 19 year old Allyssa Wright &amp; were charged with arson, reckless\nendangerment, conspiracy &amp; endangering the welfare of a child, Hall &amp;\nWright were arraigned &amp; were remanded to the Delaware County Jail on\n$10,000 Cash Bail or $20,000 Bond, an unidentified 12 year old female was also\ncharged with arson, conspiracy &amp; reckless endangerment, she was released on\na Juvenile appearance ticket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">About 120 People attended last night&#8217;s Town of Guilford\nBoard meeting, which included discussions about the controversial plan by\nCalpine, for the High Bridge Wind Farm Renewable Energy project proposal.&nbsp; Guilford town Supervisor George Senek told\nWCDO News what happens next:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(George Senek 6-13-19)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The High Bridge Wind Farm project calls for up to 30 Wind\nTurbines to be placed in the town of Guilford, Calpine is also behind the\nBluestone Project which calls for 8 to 12 Wind Turbines in the Towns of Windsor\n&amp; Sanford.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An Internet Safety Awareness &amp; Prevention of Child\nExploitation Conference will be held in Walton tomorrow, featuring a survivor\nof Human Trafficking, plus presentations by the National Center for Missing\n&amp; Exploited Children, &amp; the State Police.&nbsp; The conference will be held at the New Hope\nChurch in Walton Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, more information is available\nat832-5334.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Attorney General Letitia James announced the conclusion of\nan investigation into pharmacies across the State that failed to post the costs\nof drugs to consumers, as required by law.&nbsp;&nbsp;\nThe Attorney General&#8217;s Office sent cease and desist letters to 44\npharmacies found to be in violation of the law, mandating compliance with\nconsumer protection laws that require that pharmacies maintain a list of their\nprices for the 150 most commonly prescribed drugs. One of the pharmacies in\nviolation is located in Binghamton. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The hearing for 25 Year old John Mehne of Sarasota Florida\nhas been postponed, as Mehne\u2019s attorney claimed that she had not been able to\nclear up a warrant for Mehne\u2019s arrest in Sarasota on a burglary charge\nthere.&nbsp; Mehne was arrested last week in\nafter a bizarre series of incidents including the crashing of a stolen car on\nI-81, fleeing into the woods, burglarizing homes and chicken coops, chasing a\nman with an axe, and killing a dog in Kirkwood.&nbsp;\nMehne is facing charges of criminal possession of stolen property,\nburglary, robbery and aggravated cruelty to animals, he is being held in the\nBroome County jail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A bill has been forwarded in the state Assembly to legalize\nProstitution in New York State.&nbsp; The bill\nwas forwarded after a group of workers in the sex trade lobbied for change at\nthe state capital recently.&nbsp; The bill was\nannounced Monday and isn\u2019t expected to be voted on before the end of the\ncurrent legislative session next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Chenango County Department of Public Works announced\nthat they will be conducting paving operation on County Road 13, between, Gast\nRoad and The County Line, in the Town of Lincklaen tomorrow.&nbsp;
