This year&#8217;s &#8220;Speed Week&#8221;\nenforcement crackdown started yesterday and runs through next Wednesday.\nTroopers will also actively patrol highway work zones and will target drivers\nwho violate the &#8220;Move Over&#8221; Law.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>State Senator Jim Seward announced Senate approval\nof legislation to help increase safety for limousine passengers, following the\ncrash of a limo that killed 20 people in Seward&#8217;s district in Schoharie last\nOctober:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>(Seward 6-7-19)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The package of 9 bills approved by the Senate would\nincrease insurance requirements for limousines, ensure drivers undergo drug and\nalcohol testing &amp; create a state hotline allowing the public to report\nsafety concerns.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Annual SFCU Hometown Day Parade will be held\ntomorrow starting at 12:00 Noon.&nbsp; Deputies arrested 39 year-old Wilbur Tyrrell, of Starlight,\nPennsylvania, on the Sealed Indictment Arrest Warrant as he attempted to flee,\non foot, across the bridge from the Village of Hancock into the State of\nPennsylvania.
