A\nDelaware County grand jury has indicted 21 year old Tyler Chapman of Equinunk\nPennsylvania on a variety of drug charges. \nChapman is accused of selling fentanyl-laced heroin near the Hancock\nCentral School District.  Chapman was\ntaken into custody Sunday by State Police during a traffic stop and turned him\nover to Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies. \nChapman faces charges of criminal sale of a controlled substance &\ncriminal sale of a controlled substance in or near school grounds; he was\nremanded to the Delaware County jail to await further court action.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\n24th Annual Gus Macker 3 on 3 Basketball tournament will return to the streets\nof Norwich on the weekend of July 13th & 14th.  Organizer Tom Revoir told WCDO News how teams\ncan register & how people can volunteer:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unadilla\nDays for Girls is collecting used shoes that will be exchanged for feminine\nhygiene kits for girls in the African country of Ghana.  Local spokesperson Jeanette Mulford explains:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colorscape\nChenango has announced that the deadline to apply for the Francis K. Wilcox\nEmerging Young Artist Scholarship is this Friday, June 7th.  The Scholarship is open to High school\nstudents in Chenango County and adjacent counties, the Emerging Young Artists\nprogram gives promising young artists a chance to exhibit and sell their work\nat Colors cape in Norwich in September. \nStudents who wish to participate can download an application at\ncolorscape.org.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oneonta\nCity Officials announced that work continues on Main Street with hydrant\ninstallations occurring between Hunt St and Fifth St, this week and next week.\nOne-lane traffic will be maintained on Main Street, and Side streets along this\nstretch may be closed to through traffic. \nAlso, Walling Avenue will be closed to through traffic today &\ntomorrow, water customers will experience temporary water service interruption\nduring daytime working hours, more information is available at 432-2100.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Norwich\nCity Officials announced that 33 Mitchell Street should be razed.  a back wall of the 1855 building fell down\nlast week, no one was injured and all occupants were evacuated.  The building’s owners was notified & has\n30 days to appeal the City’s decision.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Otsego\nCounty Sheriff Department arrested 69 year old Dale Putnam of the Town of\nMaryland following an investigation into animal cruelty. Putnam was charged\nwith 6 Counts of Overdriving, torturing and injuring animals & failure to\nprovide proper sustenance, after the Sheriff’s Department received a complaint\nof possible dead animals at a farm located on State Hwy 7 in the Town of\nMaryland.  Deputies located approximately\n20 dead cows in a barn, 4 dead cows were located in the fields, and 1 cow was\nin poor health from giving birth to a calf and had to be euthanized.  The remaining cattle were taken in by local\nfarmers for safe keeping until the end of the investigation and court\nproceedings.  Putnam was issued an\nappearance ticket for the Town of Maryland Court and is scheduled to appear in\ncourt at a later date.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
