Delaware County Sheriff Craig DuMond honored 14-year-old\nRachel Trimbell of Walton with the 1st annual \u201cSuper Star\u201d award. Trimbell was riding a Walton Central School\nbus on the afternoon of March 27, when she observed a kindergarten student\nchoking on a piece of candy. Trimbell performed the Heimlich maneuver on the\nstudent which ultimately saved the life of the young child. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Counselors are\non hand to assist Vets with any issues they may have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n State Police and local law\nenforcement statewide will increase patrols to combat drunk, impaired and\nreckless driving throughout Memorial Day weekend. The special enforcement period runs from\nFriday through Monday, Memorial Day,\nwhich is traditionally one of the busiest travel holidays of the year and\npolice will be out in force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n State Police released an update regarding the incident in\nthe town of Springfield that left 1 man dead & an Otsego county Deputy\ninjured. The deceased suspect has been\nidentified as 23 year old Matthew All, of Sharon Springs, on Tuesday, state\ntroopers attempted to stop All for allegedly threatening someone with a knife, he\ntook off & police pursued him, until he apparently crashed head on into the\nparked deputy\u2019s vehicle near routes 20 & 80 in the town of Springfield. The\nunidentified Deputy was transported to Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, with\nserious but non-life threatening injuries, he was coherent at the scene. All\nwas pronounced dead at the scene by Otsego County Coroner Michael Fox.
