The statewide\nUnemployment rate was 3.9% in April; the Southern Tier region was at a combined\n4.0% even. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Delaware County Sheriff Craig\nDuMond announced a new Defibrillator Fundraiser, as new Defibrillator pads and\nsupplies are needed for AED units carried by patrols and units within the\nCounty Correctional Facility.&nbsp; The last\nfundraising drive for AED units was in 2013.&nbsp;\nSheriff DuMond said that this fundraiser is being sponsored by the\nDelaware County Sheriff\u2019s Office for use by their personnel, more information\nis available at 832-5860,&nbsp; &#8220;Prescribed to\nDeath,&#8221; is a traveling wall of 22,000 small pills carved with the faces of\nAmericans who have died of an opioid overdose, it is being displayed at the\nbase of The Egg in Albany on the concourse level of the Empire State\nPlaza.&nbsp; The memorial is free and open to\nthe public tomorrow from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.&nbsp;\nThose who are unable to visit can still share their loved one&#8217;s story\nand a photo by using the council&#8217;s interactive online map, at\nmemorial.nsc.org\/index.html.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1 person is dead and an Otsego County Sheriff\u2019s Deputy was\ninjured after a pursuit in the village of Richfield Springs and the town of\nSpringfield Tuesday Afternoon.&nbsp; State\nPolice approached a subject in a vehicle who had been accused of threatening a\nvictim with a knife, the suspect fled from troopers and a pursuit ensued\ntraveling east on State Route 20.&nbsp; As the\nsubject approached the intersection of State Routes 20 and 80, an Otsego County\nSheriff\u2019s Deputy was stationary in his vehicle, monitoring the pursuit with his\nemergency lights activated; the suspect crossed into oncoming traffic and\nstruck the Deputy head-on.&nbsp; The Deputy\nwas transported to Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, NY with serious but\nnon-life threating injuries, the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene by\nOtsego County Corner Michael Fox.&nbsp; The\ninvestigation is on-going.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Delaware County Sheriff\u2019s Deputies arrested 52-year-old Tina\nNoble of Franklin, on charges of obstructing government administration &amp;\nunlawful imprisonment, she is accused of unlawfully and forcefully detaining a\nmember of the Delaware County Child Protective Services Unit within her home in\nan attempt to prevent a public servant from performing an official function.\nNoble was later released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear at\nFranklin Town Court at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All area School District budgets were passed by voters\nTuesday in the tri-county region.&nbsp;\nCapital projects passed in Afton, Sidney and Unatego.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CDO Workforce &amp;
