The New York State Liquor Authority and the New York State\nDepartment of Motor Vehicles, along with local law enforcement agencies, will\nconduct statewide sweeps of locations holding liquor licenses, including bars,\nrestaurants, liquor stores and grocery stores, looking for fake IDs and\nretailers who sell alcohol to minors. The DMV charged 892 individuals with possessing\nfake identifications in 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In honor of National Volunteer Week April 7th to the 13th,\nthe United Way of Delaware and Otsego Counties invites residents to nominate a\nvolunteer for the 2019 Extraordinary Volunteer of the Year. the decision follows the success of\nsigning acts to perform at a 3 day festival on the same 3 days in August, by\noriginal Woodstock Promoter Michael Lang, at Watkins Glen International\nraceway.&nbsp;&nbsp; Among the Acts signed up for\nWoodstock 50, Miley Cyrus, The Lumineers, Imagine Dragons, &amp; Halsey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Binghamton Rumble Ponies\nSeason gets underway today on the road in new Hampshire, their Home Opener will\nbe Thursday April 11th @ NYSEG Stadium, tickets or more information is available\nat bingrp.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">State Police arrested 35 year old Benjamin Snell of Edmeston\nfor 2 counts each of Criminal Contempt &amp; Endangering the Welfare of a Child\nand 1 count of Unlawful Imprisonment.&nbsp;&nbsp;\nTroopers responded to a domestic dispute in the town of Norwich where a\nvictim reported that Snell got into an argument with the victim in the town of\nEdmeston &amp; while inside a vehicle, he committed several traffic offenses\nand would not let the victim out of the vehicle, with 2 children in the\nvehicle.&nbsp; Troopers also learned that\nthere is an Order of Protection for Snell to stay away from the victim; he was\narraigned in the town of Norwich Court where he was remanded to Chenango County\nJail on $2,000 cash bail or $5,000 property bond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">State Police arrested 37 year old Christina Porter of\nOneonta for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Driving While Impaired by Drugs,\nLeaving the Scene of an Accident and Criminal Possession of a Controlled\nSubstance.&nbsp; Troopers were dispatched to a\n2-car accident on State Highway 23 in Oneonta, where 1 vehicle left the\nscene.&nbsp;&nbsp; Trooper learned that Porter was\noperating the vehicle at the time of the crash then had a taxi pick her up down\nthe road.&nbsp; Troopers caught up with the\ntaxi, Porter was arrested and was also found to be in possession of\ncocaine.&nbsp; Porter was issued appearance\ntickets to respond to the town of Oneonta Court on April 9th.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">State Police arrested 35 year old Benjamin Bishop of Otselic\nfor Criminal Contempt, Endangering the welfare of a Child, Menacing, Criminal\nMischief and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.&nbsp; Troopers were dispatched to a domestic dispute\nin the town of Otselic, where Bishop arrived at the residence and began a\nverbal argument &amp; allegedly threatened the victim with a knife and damaged\na wooden stand, all in the presence of a child.&nbsp;\nBishop left the scene, Troopers located Bishop in Smyrna.&nbsp; He was arrested and arraigned in the town of\nSmyrna court where he was remanded to the Chenango County Jail on $10,000 cash\nbail or $15,000 bond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Annual Meeting of &#8220;Destination Oneonta&#8221;
