Binghamton Police are looking for the suspect in a bank\nrobbery at M&T bank on Robinson Street Thursday morning at about 11:30AM. Police believe the man ran northbound and\nthen got into a dark colored Toyota 4 door sedan. The Suspect is described as a Male of Unknown\nRace or Ethnicity, Medium Build, about 6 feet tall, wearing a Hooded Waist Length\nJacket with a Camouflage Pattern, Dark Scarf \ncovering his face, Dark Colored Jeans, Black Gloves & Brown Hiking\nBoots. Property tax levy growth for school districts will be capped\nat 2% again this year, according to State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli. The 2% cap\naffects the tax cap calculations for 676 school districts as well as 10 cities\nwith fiscal years starting July 1st. \nThe tax cap limits annual tax levy increases to the lesser of the rate\nof inflation or 2% with some exceptions, including a provision that allows\nschool districts to override the cap with 60 percent voter approval of their\nbudget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Federal Government shutdown has slowed down the\ninvestigation into last summer\u2019s Limousine accident in Schoharie County that\nkilled 20 people. Federal investigators\nmay be forced to recall employees furloughed by the government shutdown to\nstart examining the SUV used as a limousine that crashed on October 6th. The National Transportation Safety Board is\ncoordinating their efforts with the Schoharie County District Attorney’s\nOffice. The limousine company operator\nNauman Hussain was charged with criminally negligent homicide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
