\nThe City of Oneonta’s annual Arbor Day event will include the ceremonial planting of a birch tree, the event begins at Swart-Wilcox Historic Park, Wilcox Avenue at 10:00 am today, the event is open to the public.

\nThe Sidney Central School Observatory will be open tonight, from 8:30-9:30PM. The featured attractions will be the waxing gibbous Moon, and rising Jupiter in the eastern sky. Several telescopes are available for viewing, including the main scope inside the dome. This event is open to the public, and admission is free. This session will be run by Sidney High faculty and students. The Observatory is located behind the high school building.
