State Police arrested 31 year old Jesse Tetlow of the town of Maryland for 3rd degree Assault & Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Blood Circulation, after troopers investigated a violent dispute in the town of Maryland. An investigation determined that on September 4th & 5th, Tetlow allegedly was involved in 2 physical disputes with his girlfriend, he is accused of choking her & grabbing her arms, casuing injuries. Tetlow was arraigned and was remanded to the Otsego County jail on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 property bond. A court order of protection was issued, Tetlow\u2019s next court date is pending.

\nThe newest Siena College Poll of State voters has Governor Cuomo’s favorability ratings moving up slightly. The poll found that 56% gave Cuomo a favorable rating, up from 52% in July. 37% gave Cuomo an unfavorable rating, down from 41% in the last poll.

\nThe Delaware Valley Humane Society is looking for donations for items that they will be putting into a tractor-trailer and shipping Thursday to help the humane society in Texas. Humane Society Director Erin Johnson explains:<\/p>\n

\nUpgrades have been completed at SUNY Oneonta, according to the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York. \u00a0$2.2 million in improvements included replacing the roof at Huntington Hall, converting two bathrooms in Hulbert Hall into laundry rooms, giving a WiFi coverage boost to Wilber Hall, upgrading fire systems in Wilber, Little and Sherman Halls, and applying a new interior wall finish in Hayes Hall. The upgrades were part of $30 million in upgrades that were completed at SUNY campuses throughout the state within a 90-day period, so that they would be completed by the time students returned to school.<\/p>\n

\nDelaware County Sheriff\u2019s Deputies arrested 34 year old Devin Mahoney of Oneonta on a Bench Warrant issued by Walton Village Court for failure to appear on charges of unlawful possession of marijuana, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument. Mahoney was arraigned and was remanded to the Delaware County Jail On $1000 bail. Deputies were assisted by State Police.

\nState Police arrested 51 year old Gerald Ackerman of Andes for Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Blood Circulation, and Harassment, after troopers responded to a dispute in the town of Andes. Ackerman is accused of grabbing a woman by the throat and threatening her; he was arraigned in the town of Andes court and was remanded to the Delaware County jail on $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 property bond. His next court date is September 26, 2017.

\nThe Chenango County Department of Public Works will close County Road 10A, between Crandall Street and Manley Road in the Town of Norwich Today. The closure will be from 6:00 AM until 6:00 PM, as crews replace a culvert. The intersection end of Hale Road will also be closed and no traffic is allowed to exit off of Hale Road onto County Road 10A during the closure.

\nDelaware County Sheriff\u2019s Deputies arrested 59 year old Michael Smith of the Bronx on charges of speeding, unlicensed operator, and aggravated unlicensed operation following a traffic stop on Main Street in the Village of Delhi. Smith was later released on tickets returnable to Delhi Town Court at a later date.
