Area police agencies arrested 5 people during search warrants conducted in Binghamton, resulting in the seizure of over 600 packets of heroin and over $20,000 in cash, as well as other drugs.\u00a0\u00a0 Arrested were 33 year old Juan DelaCruz, <\/b>of Binghamton, 31 year old Mike DelaCruz<\/b> of New York City; 42 year old William Michalski<\/b> of Deposit, 44 year old Paul Michalski o<\/b>f Deposit and 22 year old Shaquana Riles <\/b>of Binghamton. \u00a0Juan DelaCruz, William Michalski and Paul Michaski, were all charged with 3rd<\/sup> degree Criminal Sale of a Controlled and 3rd<\/sup> degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.\u00a0 The Michalski\u2019s were also charged with 2nd<\/sup> degree Criminal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and 4th<\/sup> degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon.\u00a0 All 3 were remanded to the Broome County Jail without bail.\u00a0 Mike DelaCruz was issued appearance tickets for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, returnable to the City of Binghamton Court at a later date.\u00a0 Shaquana Riles was issued an appearance ticket for Criminal Facilitation returnable to the City of Binghamton Court at a later date.<\/p>\n

The Chenango County Sheriffs Office conducted an investigation into the possession and sale of narcotics in the Town of Norwich. 44-year-old Christopher Joy of Norwich was charged with 1st<\/sup> degree Criminal Nuisance & 3rd<\/sup> degree Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance for allegedly selling crack cocaine to an undercover Police Officer & maintaining a residence for the purpose of selling drugs. He was remanded to the Chenango County Jail on $50,000 cash bail.\u00a0 24-year-old Jabon Walker of New York City was arrested for 3rd<\/sup> degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance for allegedly possessing Heroin. He was remanded to the Chenango County Jail on $25,000 cash bail.\u00a0 29-year-old Martin Kincaid of Utica was arrested for 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance for allegedly possessing crack cocaine and heroin. He was remanded to the Chenango County Jail $25,000 bail.<\/p>\n

The Chenango county sheriffs department arrested 25-year-old Derek Davies on active Arrest Warrant for Petty Larceny issued by Town of Norwich Court.\u00a0 Davies was arrested upon his release from the Broome County Jail where he was held on unrelated charges.\u00a0 Davies was arraigned in the Village of Oxford Court & was remanded to the Custody of the Sheriff on $1,000 cash bail to appear in the Town of Norwich Court at a later date.<\/p>\n

The State DOT announced that bridgework would be performed today requiring the closure of the southbound right lane on Front Street between Bevier Street and Prospect Street in the City of Binghamton. \u00a0 Work will begin at 7:00 AM and will continue through Friday, February 1st<\/sup>, weather permitting.<\/p>\n
