Governor Cuomo departed New York with the NYS Trade Mission to Cuba this morning, Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie, as well as other lawmakers and business leaders joined Cuomo’s trade mission trip to Cuba. The Governor & others are meeting with high-level Cuban leaders throughout the day today.

\nAn increase in the abuse of synthetic marijuana, led to Governor Cuomo issuing a health alert for the state. Cuomo’s office stated that there were more than 160 people have reportedly been hospitalized due to abusing the drug, most of the abuse has been by teens or young adults. Cuomo\u2019s banned the selling of Synthetic marijuana & bath salts in 2012.

\nOn Friday, Delaware County Sheriff\u2019s Deputies were dispatched to Gardner Road in the Town of Colchester for a reported violation of an order of protection, issued by the Delaware County Family; Deputies arrested 33-year-old Roger Vernold of Downsville for Criminal Trespass, Criminal Contempt, and Aggravated Harassment. Appearance tickets were issued for Town of Colchester Court at a later date.
