Governor Andrew Cuomo may be looking at running for a 3rd term as governor. The New York Board of Elections records show Cuomo’s campaign committee has changed its name to “Andrew Cuomo 2018.” Cuomo was re-elected in November to a 2nd term.

\nState Police announced that they are looking for Gary Naselsky on charges of 3rd degree Grand Larceny. Naselsky allegedly stole $4,500 by depositing bad checks to the Sidney Federal Credit Union in Oneonta; the Town of Oneonta Court issued a warrant in May 2014. \nThe Cuomo Administration announced that a new law protecting consumers from getting hit with surprise, out-of-network medical bills are in effect. The law holds consumers harmless from any surprise or emergency out-of-network medical bills they receive from providers, and requires enhanced consumer disclosures to protect patients from getting hit with surprise medical bills in the first place. The new law also requires enhanced consumer disclosures from insurers, doctors and hospitals, allowing consumers to more easily know which providers are out-of-network, how much those providers expect to charge, and how much the insurer expects to cover.

\nChenango County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Town of North Norwich resident for 3 counts of endangering the welfare of a child and 1 count of criminal mischief Sunday. 40-year-old Preston Newberry was charged following a domestic dispute, which allegedly occurred in front of 3 children.
