State Senator Jim Seward today urged the new York State Parole Board to deny the release of David Dart, who murdered 18 year old Gillian Gibbons in 1989 in her car, parked the lower level of the Municipal Parking Garage in Oneonta.\u00a0 In a letter to the superintendent where Dart is housed, Senator Seward said, that it was in the best interest of Gibbons family and the community at large that Dart be denied parole.\u00a0 Dart was convicted of 2nd degree murder and is serving a 25 years to life sentence.<\/p>\n
