NEWS FRIDAY 11-22-13"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Delaware County Board of Supervisors voted in favor recently of constructing a new recycling center, to take advantage of the growing markets for recycled materials.\u00a0 County Solid waste management coordinator Sue McIntyre told WCDO News of the timeline for this project:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>(Sue McIntyre 11-22-13)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>McIntyre said that the county residents would recycle plastics #1 through #7 once the facility is open, and items will be separated at the Hamden facility.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>State Senator Jim Seward today urged the new York State Parole Board to deny the release of David Dart, who murdered 18 year old Gillian Gibbons in 1989 in her car, parked the lower level of the Municipal Parking Garage in Oneonta.\u00a0 In a letter to the superintendent where Dart is housed, Senator Seward said, that it was in the best interest of Gibbons family and the community at large that Dart be denied parole.\u00a0 Dart was convicted of 2nd degree murder and is serving a 25 years to life sentence.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>Governor Cuomo today encouraged New Yorkers to take advantage of the state&#8217;s revamped &#8220;Pride of New York&#8221; website at prideofny.com, to search for locally grown and produced New York State food and beverages.\u00a0\u00a0 Over 3000 businesses are part of the program, from Agritourism, Baked Goods, Dairy, Nurseries, and Seafood, complete with directions to those businesses.\u00a0 More information is available at 1-800-554-4501.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>2 Republicans have announced plans to enter a 2014 primary against Republican Rep. Richard Hanna in the 22nd Congressional District. Michael Vasquez of Binghamton is a licensed auto and home insurance agent.
