The Chenango county sheriff\u2019s department arrested Jeremy Hazard of Smyrna on an active arrest warrant for Promoting Prison Contraband.\u00a0\u00a0 Hazard was found to be in possession of Marihuana while entering the Chenango County Correctional Facility. Hazard was arraigned in the Town of Norwich Court and held on $1,000.00 cash bail & will reappear in the Town of Norwich Court at a later date.<\/p>\n

4 candidates are running for 2 seats on the Sidney town board this year.\u00a0 Retired Sidney village engineer John Woodyshek is running as a republican for one seat, he told WCDO News that the board has to play up the Town\u2019s attributes & avoid controversy:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Former white House & UN Adviser Eric Schwartz will give a presentation today at Binghamton University beginning at 7:00 PM in the Anderson Center. Schwartz is a BU graduate with a bachelor\u2019s degree in political science, he has served as U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees and Migration and UN Deputy Special Envoy for Tsunami Recovery.<\/p>\n
