The New York State Police continue to look for qualified candidates who are interested in becoming State Troopers. The State Police is seeking candidates who meet the qualifications to take the trooper examination which will be offered on four separate Saturdays in October in New York City. \u00a0Those interested can apply on-line at:\u00a0www.NYTROOPER.com<\/a>, or at (917) 492-7126.<\/p>\n

Governor Cuomo released new statistics showing the health benefits for New Yorkers of reduced exposure to 2nd<\/sup> hand smoke, including reductions in heart attack hospitalizations.\u00a0 Yesterday was the 10th\u00a0anniversary of the New York State Clean Indoor Air Act, A study by the Department of Health shows that since passage of the Clean Indoor Air Act, hospitalizations for heart attacks has decreased by 3,800 a year, The percentage of middle and high school students exposed to cigarette smoke decreased by at least 33%.\u00a0 More information is available at health.ny.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
