State Police in Oneonta investigated a 2-car fatal motor vehicle accident on State Route 23 in the Town of Oneonta Tuesday morning.\u00a0 The investigation revealed that 66-year-old Francis Gesel of Massachusetts crossed into the westbound lane into the path\u00a0of a Hyundai operated by 62-year-old Terry Church of Oneonta.\u00a0 Gesel was transported to Fox Hospital for a broken foot and chest pain, Church was pronounced dead at the scene by Otsego County Coroner James Hurley. The investigation is continuing.<\/p>\n

Chenango county sheriffs department arrested 44-year-old Michael Pollock of Pharsalia for Felony DWI, Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle, Unlicensed Operator, and Failure to Keep Right.\u00a0 \u00a0Pollock was stopped for moving violations in the Town of Preston, he is accused of operating a motor vehicle in an intoxicated state, with an expired driver\u2019s license, and his driving privileges were revoked from a prior DWI.\u00a0 Pollock was processed and released to appear at a later date in the Town of Preston Court.<\/p>\n

The Chenango county sheriffs department arrested 25-year-old Michael Gulotty of Norwich on an active Arrest Warrant out of the Town of Norwich Court for 2nd<\/sup> degree Aggravated Harassment.\u00a0 Gulotty is accused of calling and sending text messages to the victim after being warned by the Sheriff\u2019s Office to stop.\u00a0 Gulotty was arraigned at the Town of Preston Court & was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility in lieu of a $2,500 cash bail pending action in the Town of Preston Court at a later date.<\/p>\n
