Governor Cuomo announced that now that the state has an agreement with the Federal Government on doubling their testing, they will have to then ramp up their tracing of potential Coronavirus cases based on finding new positives, which is part of the plan to get New Yorkers back to work:

Governor Cuomo said that fromer New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg and Bloomberg Philanthropies have committed 10 Million dollars for organizational support and technical assistance to help build and execute the tracing program, in coordination with the downstate region as well as New Jersey and Connecticut, The program will launch immediately, the federal government is also committing 1.3 Billion dollars for the tracing program, which is expected to lead to hundreds of new jobs.

The Raymond Corporation of Greene is producing 3D printed face shields for area Health Care professionals, first responders, who had been experiencing difficulty in getting those items. Raymond CEO Michael Field Told WCDO News that Engineer Josh Smith was challenged by his mother to come up with a Face Shield; he described what they came up with:

Chenango County Public Health announced their latest Coronavirus numbers today, which included their first 2 reported deaths. Chenango County has 79 cases, with 133 quarantines, 7 Hospitalizations, 52 recoveries, they have tested 493 people.

The Broome County Health Department announced that they continue to have an increase in the number of Coronavirus cases; they now have 225 cases, with 12 deaths, 59 recoveries & 360 people in quarantine.

State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli reported today that the coronavirus pandemic has caused extraordinary economic challenges in New York with still-evolving impacts on public health, jobs, the economy and state finances that will not be able to be determined, for several fiscal years. The final budget also included an additional $21.4 billion in total new and increased state-supported debt authorizations, including $11 billion for cash flow or deficit financing purposes. While short-term borrowing to offset delayed revenues may be appropriate, DiNapoli urges caution in any longer-term borrowing for operating costs.
Governor Cuomo met with President Trump & others in Washington Tuesday afternoon, they agreed on a partnership to double up testing capabilities for the Coronavirus, with the intended goal of getting people back to work:

Governor Cuomo also said that the White House agrees with getting funding to the states in the next Stimulus bill, as the states are going broke trying to tackle the Coronavirus while not collecting income taxes from workers who are quarantined, or unemployed.

Otsego County Department of Health reported 2 new cases of the Coronavirus today, bring their total positive cases to 57. 3 people are currently hospitalized, 35 have recovered, there has been 4 deaths, 61% of confirmed cases have completely recovered.
