State Police arrested 3 people after a fight at Dunkin’ Donuts on Chestnut Street in Oneonta. A 16-year-old teen complained about an order in the drive thru, she then entered the store hit an employee and broke items. Another customer took a picture of the vehicle’s license plate, and was struck by the 16-year-old and 17-year-old female, they were charged with Disorderly Conduct and Harassment, 19-year-old Sean Gunther of Oneonta, was also arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest, all 3 were arraigned in the town of Oneonta Court. The 16-year-old was released on her own recognizance. The 17-year-old and Gunther were remanded to the Otsego County Jail on $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond. All 3 face action in town of Oneonta Court on May 3rd.

State Police arrested 27 year old Ashlee Simms of Burlington Flats for DWI with a BAC result of .16%, which is twice the legal limit. Troopers observed Simms speeding on County Highway 32, she is accused of being intoxicated, did not possess a valid driver’s license and had been previously convicted of Driving While Ability Impaired, Simms is scheduled to appear in the town of Norwich Court on May 10th.

Norwich City Police & the Chenango County Department of Social Services investigated the report of an assault of a child younger than 2 years old. 31 year old Jennifer Rahn of Norwich was charged with 2nd degree Assault & Endangering the Welfare of a Child, The child was treated at Chenango Memorial Hospital and released, Rahn was arraigned in Norwich City Court & was remanded to the Chenango County Jail on $5,000 cash bail, pending additional court action tomorrow.

Governor Cuomo today announced that up to $15 million is available for projects that will help New York improve the resiliency, efficiency, and overall performance of its electric grid to save on energy and costs to combat climate change. Modernizing the grid supports Governor Cuomo’s initiative to deploy 1,500 megawatts of energy storage by 2025 and for half of the state’s electricity to come from renewable energy sources by 2030. The grid modernization initiative is administered by NYSERDA; they will award projects through a 2-step competitive process. The final proposals selected will receive funding to move forward.

22 year old Matthew Stafford of Sidney Center was arrested by Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies for 2nd degree Assault following a fight April 1st at the Delaware County Jail. Stafford was returned to the County Jail pending further action from the Village of Delhi Court.

Delaware County Office for the Aging announced that the annual Big Wheels Golf Tournament will be held at the Delhi College Golf Course on Friday, May 11th. The event serves as a primary fundraiser for programs and services for Delaware County senior citizens. The entry fee this year will be $65, Registrations for the tournament can be obtained at 832-5750.

State Police removed a large quantity of marijuana from a residence on Hogsback Road in the town of Greene, they arrested 51 year old Christopher Phillips for Criminal Possession of Marijuana, Unlawful Growing of Cannabis and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. State Troopers were dispatched to check the welfare at a female at the home where troopers observed several marijuana plants. Troopers also located dried marijuana, marijuana seeds, and suboxone. Phillips was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the town of Greene Court on April 12, 2018.

State Police arrested 46 year old Jason Keena-Molinaro of Cedar Grove, New Jersey with a reported B.A.C. of .16%, following a 2 car accident on Kendricks Road in Sherburne. Keena-Molinaro was issued appearance tickets and turned over to a sober party. He is scheduled to appear in the town of Sherburne Court on May 14th.

State Police arrested 31 year old Kenneth Thorn of Middlefield, for Operating a Motor Vehicle Impaired by Drugs & Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, plus several traffic tickets. Troopers observed Thorn’s vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on Chestnut Street Extension in Oneonta, Thorn was released on appearance tickets and scheduled to appear in the city of Oneonta Court on April 16, 2018.
