Delaware County District Attorney Shawn Smith announced the conviction of Duane Kinne of Walton pleaded guilty to 6 counts of Unlawful Surveillance, for secretly installing a camera in a bathroom shower and using the recordings for his own gratification, plus 1 count of Criminal Sexual Act for admitting to performing a sexual act on a boy less than 13 years old. Kinne will be sentenced at a later date.

Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado was in Oneonta Tuesday, he announced that the Utica Center for Development was holding their grand opening of a new veterans resource center in the Oneonta Armory. The new location at 4 Academy Street in Oneonta, will be open Monday through Friday from 8 am. until 4 pm. More information is available at ucdevelopment.org.

The Tri Town Theatre announced their next Production will be the musical “Big Fish” in May. Cast Member George Wells talked about the show on WCDO this morning:

“Popeye The Slayer Man” is a movie shot locally that gives a different spin on the old Popeye character, which will be premiering locally & will play in about a dozen movie theaters around the nation, Korey Rowe of Otsego Media is the Director of Photography, he told WCDO News about the movie:

Rowe said that the movie will premier for the public on march 21st at the Southside Mall Cinemas, it will also be available on Apple TV.

The State Department of Health announced the 1st case of measles in New York State outside of New York City in 2025, the 3rd case in the state this year. The case was identified in a patient less than 5 years of age in Suffolk County and was confirmed at the Department’s Wadsworth Laboratory in Albany. It has been determined there was potential exposure to measles for the public and persons who visited the pediatric emergency department at Cohen Children’s Medical Center on March 3 to March 4, or visited an inpatient child there on March 3 to March 6. More information is available at health.ny.gov/diseases. All New Yorkers are urged to protect themselves by making sure they’re up to date on vaccines.

The Jericho Arts Council present The Ryan Clan, an Irish Family, that will perform Saturday Night at 7:00 PM the Bainbridge Town Hall Theatre Saturday for a St. Patrick’s Day celebration.
