Springbrook will receive $5 million from Tom Golisano as part of a $360 million donation to over 80 nonprofit organizations. In 2010, Golisano provided funds to establish the Golisano School, which expanded services for children with autism. In 2012, the organization completed the $22.5 million Coming Home Campaign, opening the Tom Golisano Center for Autism, a state-of-the-art facility offering specialized care and support for people with autism.

23 year old Nalya Jimenez of Sidney pleaded guilty in Delaware County Court Tuesday to 1 count of Welfare Fraud, she was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge. Jimenez admitted to providing false information while applying for SNAP, she failed to report recurring income from several sources – including a full-time position that would have rendered her ineligible to receive the benefits. Jimenez improperly received $5,679 in public benefits, she has agreed to pay the entirety of $5,679 in 30 days of sentence. If she fails to pay, she could face a year in jail.

The Delaware County Historical Association is accepting nominations for their Annual Awards of Merit. Nominations should be for individuals or Groups who have made significant contributions for the preservation of local history, the awards will be presented at the Associations Annual Meeting on November 3rd.
