Chenango County Sheriff’s Office reported that 1 person was killed in a 2 vehicle crash on State Route 12 in the Village of Greene Monday morning. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released pending family notification, a 2nd person involved was taken to Wilson Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in that crash. Route 12 was closed for several hours for the investigation & cleanup, more information is expected to be released soon.

Broome County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol responded to a report of a man hit by a vehicle at about 9:30 last night, at Upper Front Street & Bevier Street in the Town of Dickinson. 43 year old Jamel Smalls of Binghamton was declared deceased at the scene, he was hit by a vehicle that left the scene, investigators learned of a possible suspect vehicle in the Town of Maine. 21 year old Christian Rogler of Endicott, was located, & was charged with Vehicular Manslaughter, Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident, Driving while Impaired by Drugs, & Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, he was arraigned & was being held at the Broome County Correctional Facility.

The Raymond Corporation and Toyota Material Handling, announced the official opening of the Energy Solutions Manufacturing Center of Excellence in Kirkwood. Broome County, New York. Jennifer Lupo, vice president of energy solutions, supply chain and leasing, comments:

Alvogen Day started in 2011 and is celebrated globally by all Alvogen locations, including the facility in Norwich. The day will be held this Friday when the plant shut down & the employees help area organization, Spokesman Luke Murphy explains:

Murphy said that about 300 employees participate each year, with pay, & each year a theme is picked & a design is chosen for the day and tee-shirts are purchased with the theme and given to the employees to wear, they wrap up the day up with an employee event in the afternoon.

Otsego County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38 year old Daniel Mondore of Morris following after investigators received a tip regarding internet activity involving Mondore, he had been utilizing 3 online accounts that were not reported to the State Sex Offender Registry, he was taken in to custody & was being held at the Otsego County Correctional Facility to await Centralized Arraignment.

22 year old Jordan Swan of Chenango is facing multiple charges after traveling at excessive speeds and fleeing patrols multiple times in the Town of Chenango last Thursday. Road Patrol observed a motorcycle driving at an excessive speed and passing a red light, he failed to stop & he lost control and tipped over, he attempted to leave again & was stopped by a deployed taser & was taken into custody. Swan was charged with Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer, Obstructing Governmental Administration and several Traffic Violations, he was arrested, arraigned and released after being issued appearance tickets to appear at the Town of Chenango Court at a later date.

Otsego County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33 year old Dustin Light of Unadilla for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation & Speeding following a traffic stop on September 7, in the Town of Otego. Light was issued tickets returnable to Town of Otego Court at a later date.
